Personality: Rian Martin has two different sides to his personality. If you catch Rian on a good day, he is your typical boy-next-door. He loves baseball and soccer and talking about music. Rian, though, has the most tragic of tragic backstories. This brought out a darkness in him that, maybe, would have stayed buried deep inside him. Rian can be vicious, cold-hearted, and nasty. He’s not afraid to tear someone down or insight chaos. Rian is a Gryffindor, both in light and dark. Rian’s darkness is easily triggered, and is becoming more and more common. He is starting to live for chaos and discord. He has started to use his light for his darkness, using his boy-next-door looks to pull people in. Rian puts on a show like no other. One of Rian’s only stabilizers is his best friend, Felicity Campbell.

Powers: Rian can heighten a sense of disorder and strife in others. If anyone is feeling these emotions, he can pull them to the surface.

History: Previous to Rian’s birth, his father, Parker Martin was married to a woman named Tessa Martin. Parker and Tessa had a baby girl who they named Camila. They lived in a quaint house in Ontario. Parker’s business was taking off and the family was becoming richer and richer. As the company grew though, former employees who were let go while the company was failing in early stages became angry with Parker. One of these men took revenge in his own hands and attempted to murder Parker Martin in front of his wife and daughter, who was 6 years old at the time. His shot missed, though, hitting Tessa Martin. She died on the scene. Camila was never the same again.

Within the next year, Rian was born out of mysterious circumstances. Parker, Camila, and Rian moved to the Beaufort Avenue South Neighborhood in Halifax, Nova Scotia’s richest neighborhood. Rian grew up there happy, positive, and thriving. When he was 2, Parker Martin married Clarise Creda, the assumed mother of Rian. Parker and Clarise had a son, Logan, when Rian was 3 and a daughter, Taylor, when Rian was 5. These kids were a lot like Rian. They loved sports and were happy. On the other hand, Camila was quiet and easily angered. She threatened the other kids often, telling them she was Parker’s only true child, with his only true love. She was slowly separated from Rian, Logan and Taylor.

When Rian was 12, two nights before his 13th birthday, tragedy hit the Martin household. Camila, with Parker’s gun, shot each member of the Martin family before turning the gun on herself. A neighbor heard the scream and called the police. Parker, Camila, and Taylor were pronounced dead on the spot. Clarise, Rian, and Logan were rushed to the hospital. Clarise and Logan both died in surgery, leaving Rian the only surviving member of the Martin family, having only suffered a gunshot to the shoulder. When Rian awoke from surgery and was told the news, something in him completely broke, and he would never be the same again.

Rian spent about a month in the hospital and rehab before he was sent to live with his aunt and uncle in Montreal. Rian had one thing left of his family, though. He was the sole heir of the Parker Martin fortune, making him the richest 13-year-old in Canada. Rian kept up his good boy act after his families’ deaths, no one possibly being alluded to the growing darkness inside of him. He was a miracle case of content after trauma. Rian wasn’t with his aunt and uncle long at all, though. Shortly after his arrival in Montreal, Lupa and her wolves entered Rian’s life.
